How Are We Living Out Our "Open & Affirming" Mission?

  • First Congregational Church of Kittery UCC 23 Pepperrell Road Kittery, ME, 03905 United States (map)

Join us for the next in our series of Talking Circles hosted by the PRC (Pastoral Relations Committee).

On May 15, 2011 our church adopted the following statement:

"We the congregation declare ourselves to be open and affirming of all humankind. We acknowledge and affirm the equal value of people of all ages, races, nationalities, ethnicities, cultures, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, regardless of physical, mental, or emotional abilities, family structures, faith backgrounds, or socio-economic status."

How are we as a church taking these words off the page and into the community?

Bring your own stories, thoughts, historical knowledge and personal experiences as our circle shares thoughts on our Open & Affirming values.

Light dessert refreshments & hot tea served. Topics, circle guidelines, and details will be sent to you via email after sign up and before the circle.
