Dawnland is a documentary about the Maine Wabanaki-State Child Welfare Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC). Film makers Adam Mazo and Ben Pender-Cudlip follow the TRC to contemporary Wabanaki communities to witness intimate, sacred moments of truth-telling and healing. The evening panel discussion will be with members of Wabanaki REACH. The 86 minute feature length film will be sent as a link to everyone who signs up so you can watch it before the discussion. Also, please note that our church will be offering an in person screening for ticket holders with concessions on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 7pm in our historic 1729 Parish House. There is no charge for the screening for ticket holders, but we will be accepting donations at the door that will go directly to Wabanaki REACH.
